Ukrainian Carols and Sacred Hymns: A Conversation with Marika Kuzma

Enjoy an evening of Ukrainian history and culture as Marika Kuzma—internationally known choral master, conductor, music scholar, educator and GreenStage advisory board member—discusses her new book, “Carols of Birds, Bells, and Sacred Hymns from Ukraine: An Anthology and Cultural Companion.” GreenStage’s executive director Peter Hawes moderates this conversation about Marika’s collection of Christmas carols, sacred hymns and secular holiday music—and the stories behind them from the region of her ancestry. The event takes place at Guilford’s Breakwater Books on Sunday, November 24, at 5 p.m. Find out more and register at https://breakwaterbooks.net/.
