There are some places where it sometimes makes sense to eat dessert first. Red House, 158 Main Street, Deep River, features a wide range of American regional cuisine, along with local craft beers. And I just found out they also serve skillet cookies: “freshly baked, pulled out of the oven, topped with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce and served nice and hot.” Sounds like just the thing for a crispy cool Fall evening.
