Waterways At The Connecticut River Museum

The exhibit Waterways of the Connecticut River Valley, featuring the work of artist Jerry Weiss, will be on view through Oct. 8 at the Connecticut River Museum.

For nearly 30years, artist Weiss has recorded the dynamic landscape of the Connecticut River Valley. Since moving to Chester, Connecticut in 1994, Weiss has painted on site every year and in all seasons.

His paintings at Lyme, Old Lyme, East Haddam, and Essex have chronicled the river’s most trafficked points as well as its most remote branches, revealing the balance between the human presence and the enduring natural beauty of the environment.
