An Evening with Edgar, the Undisputed Master of the Macabre


The Henry Carter Hull Library will host an evening with the undisputed master of the macabre, Edgar Allan Poe on Thursday, Sept. 28 at 6:30 p.m. during a live theatrical performance at the library, 10 Killingworth Turnpike, Clinton.

Those who attend will learn the truth behind the fiction of the life, legacy, and death of this American legend at this free, performance. Enjoy your favorite stories and poems performed live by historic re-enactor Campbell Harmon will present Poe’s stories and poems.

Harmon has performed as Edgar Allan Poe since 2009. He has brought the Master of the Macabre to life for audiences across America. Harmon has worked with museums, libraries, schools, and the National Endowment for the Arts to further historical education and spark a love of reading in young and old alike. Harmon is a displaced Kentuckian and a graduate of Yale Divinity School. He lives in Connecticut in a 120-year-old house with a 102 pound dog.
