The Madison Art Society will host the Madison Art Society’s 48th Annual Juried Exhibition and Sale at the E.C. Scranton Memorial Library, 801 Boston Post Road in Madison from Saturday, Aug. 5 through Friday, Sept. 8.The exhibit, showcasing works by local artists, is free and open to the public during library hours. The show includes a variety of media including oils, watercolors, acrylics, and pastels.

The Juror for this years exhibition is Jacquelyn Gleisner who studied art and art history at Boston University, where she was traditionally trained in drawing, painting, and sculpture. She currently works at the Yale Center for British Art as a communications manager

The opening reception will be Thursday, Aug. 10 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Participants will meet the artists and enjoy music, refreshments, and nibbles.
