ARPA Funds New Stage For Theater Group
A new, professional-level stage has been built at the Academy building, 61 East Main Street, Clinton, this summer with the support of funds from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), from the sixth federal relief bill passed during the pandemic. The Shoreline Theater Academy, Kidz Konnection, received funding this summer through the town of Clinton's ARPA funds and the stage will be used for the group’s free summer performances.
The new weather-proof professional grade stage will host How to Succeed In Business Without Really Trying, Thursday through Saturday, Aug. 3 to 5 at 6 p.m.; and the Groove Crew's Musical Show Choir Concert (Music Through the Decades), Sunday, Aug. 13 at 6 p.m.; Legally Blonde, JR on Wednesday, Aug. 9 at 6 p.m.; and the culmination of summer events, Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream, Saturday, Aug. 19 at 5 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 20 at 2 p.m. All programs are free and held outside on the lawn of the Academy Building. BYO Lawn Chairs/picnics. All activities are family friendly, suitable for families with children of all ages.
