On Saturday, Aug. 5 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Branford author Michael Zanetti will be outside the store during the Guilford Sidewalk Sales signing copies of his book The Sloth and His Friends. Books will be available for sale inside the store or bring your own if you already have a copy.
On Sunday, Aug. 13 from 4 to 5 p.m., author Mark Borton of Chester will give a 45-minute illustrated presentation on his narrative adult non-fiction book Moondoggle: Franklin Roosevelt and the Fight for Tidal-Electric Power at Passamaquoddy Bay, followed by a Q&A and a book signing.
On Tuesday, Aug. 22 from 10 to 11 a.m. Avon author Lynn Katz will host an interactive author visit for her middle grade fiction book Chester and the Magic 8-Ball, including a reading, book signing, and book-related hands-on math activities including probability, coin toss, and the Magic 8-Ball.
On Tuesday, Aug. 29 from 10 to 11 a.m., there will be a story time with author Jillian Lee reading her juvenile fiction book Rylie Finds a Family, about how they adopted their dog. There also will be interactive crafts, games, a scavenger hunt, and she plans to bring her new puppy, Billie.
