Shoreline Poet Schedules Event at The Hive
Shoreline poet Melissa Spratt will host an evening of connection, cocktails, and apps to celebrate the release of her new poetry collection, My Roots Grow Strong. The event is free and open to all; registration is requested by emailing connect@melissasprattwrites.com
The event will be Friday, April 28, from 5 to 8 p.m. at The Hive Chester, 1 Maple Street, Chester.
The illustrated book of poetry includes themes of healing and hope, love and loss, mental health, miscarriage, womanhood, motherhood, and mother nature.
“Roots are one’s foundation for strength and growth. While our heart, mind, and body represent all pieces of us and our stories. This book’s purpose is to show everyone that we have the strength to overcome life’s struggles and that we are connected. See the beauty in your story,” says Spratt.
