Oysters at the Oyster Club

We followed up a recent trip to the lovely Lyman Allyn Museum in New London with a trip to the Oyster Club, 13 Water Street, Mystic. And, of course, we had to try the oysters. In this case, we tried a half dozen of the roasted oysters served with a brown butter sauce. The rest of the dinner — including a burger, the chowder, housemade pasta topped with a delicious ragu, and some fish — also was good. But the oysters? So good we’d go back for just that.
