Run For Refugees on Sunday, Feb. 12
The Integrated Refugee & Immigrant Services (IRIS) Run For Refugees fundraiser will take place on Sunday, Feb. 12 with a flat 5K run/walk through New Haven’s East Rock neighborhood. The race starts at 10 a.m.
There will be a virtual option for those who cannot join in person and who would like to run, walk, or bike a 5K in their own neighborhood or on the treadmill.
Individuals and teams will be helping to support IRIS’ services to provide people who were immigrants and are now our neighbors with housing, healthcare, job placement, education, and more. In 2022, IRIS helped welcome more than 700 people who were refugees, asylum seekers, and undocumented immigrants.
Registrants will receive a Run For Refugees t-shirt. Those who donate or fundraise $200 will have their entry fee automatically refunded. Those who donate or fundraise $500 will win a Run For Refugees beanie.
