02/06/2023 09:50 AMThe exhibition Valentine Gems will be on display from Friday, Feb. 3 to Saturday, March 4, at the Susan Powell Fine Art Gallery, 679 Boston Post Road, Madison.
In what has become a popular annual February exhibition, Valentine Gems showcases many smaller paintings by 25 award-winning artists. These works, selected by long-time gallery owner Susan Powell, are original art in a wide variety of painting styles, sizes, and subjects.
Landscapes, seascapes, still lifes, floral, and city scenes will be on view.
There will be an opening reception on Friday, Feb. 3, from 5 to 8 p.m. Wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served, and it will be an opportunity to meet and talk with the artists about their paintings.
Exhibiting new and represented artists include: Kathy Anderson, Carol Arnold, Del-Bourree Bach, Patt Baldino, Paul Batch, Paul Beebe, Peter Bergeron, Kelly Birkenruth, Dan Brown, Grace DeVito, David Dunlop, Vincent Giarrano, Sue Gilkey, Tom Hughes, Sarah Stifler Lucas, James Magner, Anne McGrory, Leonard Mizerek, Larry Preston, Deborah Quinn-Munson, Dennis Sheehan, Jeanne Rosier Smith, Kyle Stuckey, Katie Swatland, and Laura Westlake.
