12/01/2022 12:00 AMPaintings, sculpture, fiber work, monoprints, photography, pottery, fused glass, hand crafted ornaments, unique jewelry, throw pillows, photographs with Santa and your dog or child, plus a specially made gin cocktail are all part of River Valley Artists’ Holiday Show.
This unusual show, which includes work by 29 River Valley Artists will be at Promethea Potters in a renovated Colonial at 68 Main Street, Deep River.
Photographer Lizzie Appleby will take photos of Santa with your dog or child Sunday, Dec. 4 from noon to 4 p.m., and visitors can buy ceramic dog bone ornaments which can be inscribed with the name of a pet.
On Saturday, Dec. 10 from 4 to 7 p.m., a special holiday cocktail provided by Highclere Castle Gin will be served with pretzels, and on Saturday, Dec. 17 from noon to 3 p.m., a variety of chilis will be served to visitors.
There will be free drawings for a piece of pottery, a hand painted ornament and a small painting throughout the show. And, of course, there will be paintings from landscapes to abstracts plus fused glass Christmas trees, throw pillows, a variety of hand-crafted ornaments, hand-painted scarves, and much more.
The show is open on Fridays from 3 to 7 p.m.; Saturdays from noon to 7 p[.m.; and Sundays, noon to 4 p.m. through Dec. 24.
River Valley Artists is a group of artists from Essex, Chester and Deep River who show together year-round in various venue and who conduct a studio tour through the three towns in the fall.
