A Local Tradition
The greatly anticipated Shoreline Arts Trail Open Studios Weekend will be held on Saturday, Nov. 16, and Sunday, Nov. 17, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.. Every year since 2001, a group of professional artists from Branford, Guilford, and Madison have opened their studio doors to the public. Now in its 24th year, and with 45 artists, the event has become a local tradition due to the widespread support from our audience and sponsors.
During this annual event, the public will have the opportunity to visit artists in their studios, ask questions, and gain insight into their techniques and inspirations. Some artists give lessons, which might interest visitors searching for a creative outlet. Other guests might find the perfect holiday gift or would prefer to browse. Either way, the audience will see an incredible variety of artwork, including paintings, ceramics, glasswork, jewelry, sculpture, photography, textiles, collage, and woodworking.
Don’t miss the chance to discover the rich artistic talent in our towns and experience the beauty of their artwork in person. To plan your visit, go onto the SAT website, shorelineartstrail.org, where you’ll learn about the artists and see detailed maps of the trail. During the event, follow the yellow Open Studio signs along the roads for extra guidance.
We look forward to seeing you there!
