Ready on Day One

I am happy to endorse Renee Lamark Muir for State Representative in the 36th District. Renee has been an outstanding member of the Deep River community who I am sure will serve the residents of the lower Connecticut River Valley towns honestly and effectively.

Renee's exemplary career in law enforcement, combined with her work serving as a political analyst at the Capital, will provide her with the ability to hit the ground running when she begins her first term in Hartford.

Renee grew up here and shares the values of a community that depends on volunteerism to thrive. Renee is an active member of the Deep River Economic Development Commission and the Deep River Zoning Board of Appeals. She understands the economic needs of our local towns and the impact a healthy state economy has on small towns.

I have had many opportunities to meet and speak with Renee, and I am impressed with the breadth of her knowledge but, more importantly, her enduring commitment to our community. She believes in the economic security of all residents, and will work for affordable housing, good jobs, and to protect residents from unfair tax burdens. I know that Renee is committed to improving the quality of life for our residents, that she will support legislation to achieve these goals, and that she will also use her legislative power and leadership in Hartford to secure funding for our towns.

As a former First Selectman of Deep River, I have an acute awareness of how important it is to have a State Representative who has the experience to navigate the waters of the legislative process in Hartford. Renee will be ready on day one. She will represent your interests and will be a stalwart advocate for the small Connecticut towns we call home.
