10/30/2024 08:00 AMI wasn’t born in coastal Connecticut, but my husband and I have made it our home for 25 years. It is where we raised our two sons and where we intend to retire.
Even as I built my corporate career, I served the community, spending countless hours volunteering in the schools and, more recently, serving as an elected member of the Old Saybrook Parks and Recreation Commission and the Board of Education. Like many women, I struggled to conceive, but through IVF, I was able to start my family. I learned through my work at the Agency of Aging and as a conservator of the hardships many seniors and people with mental illness face and the role that the government can play in easing their burdens.
I believe you should be represented by someone who will vote your values – vote to protect women’s reproductive rights; vote to preserve our coastline from the ravages of climate change; vote to make life more affordable for seniors and working families; vote to enhance our schools, prohibit book bans and protect our children from gun violence. We depend on our elected officials to vote our values. It really matters how you vote.
I am asking for your support, and if elected, I will work with any colleague, no matter the party, as I always have, to deliver for Lyme, Old Lyme, Old Saybrook, and Westbrook.
