A Valuable Voice

It is with great appreciation for her hard work and dedication to addressing important issues on behalf of Guilford and Connecticut residents that I will be voting to reelect Moira Rader as our State Representative; I urge others to do the same. Her advocacy and pursuit of legislation for the education and welfare of our children, the health and protection of our environment, and our public safety make her a valuable voice in Hartford.

I have known and had the privilege of working closely with Moira for seven years as a colleague and in her role as vice chair of the Guilford Board of Education. I have a front row seat to how carefully Moira considers issues, how deeply she cares about people, and how hard she works to advance solutions. Over the past two years as our State Representative, I have seen her advocate for issues with the same determination and passion that she has applied to those impacting our students in Guilford Public Schools.

As a representative on the Education Committee, the Environment Committee, and the Public Health Committee, Moira has had the opportunity to focus on matters of great impact to children and families in Guilford and across the state. During her current term, this has included pushing for funding of school meals, affordable childcare, increased funding for higher education, and for mental health services. She worked with colleagues on the Environment Committee to advance legislation for implementing climate change measures. She was among those introducing a bill for funding to address community gun violence.

Moira is committed to improving our community and our lives. Please join me in reelecting Moira Rader for State Representative of the 98th district.
