Exceeded Expectations

In 2022, I had the pleasure of working on Moira Rader’s successful campaign to be elected to her first term as State Representative for Guilford and part of Branford. Since then, I have seen firsthand how she has more than exceeded expectations in what she has been able to accomplish as a thoughtful, caring, engaged legislator. It would serve us all well to elect her to a second term, giving her the opportunity to broaden and deepen what she has and will continue to do to benefit our community.

Moira has demonstrated that she has the dedication, values, work ethic, and commitment to effectively represent us in the state legislature. There is much to learn during a legislator’s first term, which lays the groundwork for being effective in succeeding terms. I am amazed and impressed at how much she has already been able to accomplish on issues that matter to promoting the success of the children and families of our community. These include protecting women’s reproductive healthcare rights, advancing safe gun legislation, addressing children’s mental health needs, making the largest investment in K-12 public education ever, and strengthening our early childcare and higher education systems

A second term, we will give her the opportunity to build on her experience and her record to advance legislation that will continue to benefit our community in these areas and so much more, including tax reform, housing, transportation, climate change, and the environment.

Voter turnout matters! Please plan to vote early beginning Monday, Oct. 21, or at the polls on Tuesday, Nov. 5, or by absentee ballot and join me in casting your vote to reelect Moira Rader along with Christine Cohen, our exemplary State Senator and the rest of the Democratic ticket. I have no doubt that Moira will continue to bring her dedication, commitment, selflessness, and love of this community to this work and make life better for all of us.
