To Branford voters - and welcome to recent residents of the lovely new 6th District developments off Parish Farm and Todds Hill Roads:

State Senator Christine Cohen, State Representative Robin Comey, U.S. Representative Rosa DeLauro, and U.S. Senator Chris Murphy are our known, incumbent, experienced, exceptionally talented, and caring elected officials. They are not only exceptionally effective in their legislative roles, but they are also highly regarded by their colleagues in their respective governmental chambers.

State Sen. Cohen has been chair of the Transportation Committee, where she has worked tirelessly to reduce carbon by improving public transportation, restoring Shore Line East runs, enhancing pedestrian and bicycle safety, and improving access to charging stations for electric vehicles. She worked to achieve a balanced state budget, lower taxes for retirees, and strengthen protections for utility customers. She championed domestic violence protection policies. Her influence and effectiveness are a product of her willingness and ability to collaborate across the aisle without hesitation.

State Rep. Comey serves with distinction on the General Assembly’s Education Committee and the Committee on Children. She is the legislative appointee to the Connecticut State Advisory Council for Special Education, the Legislature’s Early Childhood Caucus, Branford’s School Readiness Council, and the Nurturing Families Advisory Board. In short, she has advocated tirelessly for children and families – including mine. Among other accomplishments, her work contributed to legislation that will increase access to life-saving epinephrine, bring awareness to the mental health crises our children are facing, and ensure access to services for the deaf, deaf-blind, and hard-of-hearing.

Along with federal incumbents Murphy and DeLauro, Branford’s and Connecticut’s Democrats are extraordinarily qualified and have earned the privilege to continue to serve the interests of all constituents. Please honor their work with your vote!
