Actionable Plans and Tangible Results
As a lifelong resident of Connecticut, I’ve witnessed the challenges our state faces in balancing fiscal responsibility with the ongoing need to invest in our communities. Senator Christine Cohen has demonstrated that it’s possible to fund our future while keeping a steady hand on the state’s finances. Her leadership has delivered actionable plans and tangible results that benefit all Connecticut residents—from young families to seniors.
Christine Cohen has successfully secured $137 million to support UConn and our state colleges, along with $50 million for nonprofits across Connecticut. At the same time, she’s ensured that we address critical issues such as supporting mental health treatment, investing $24 million in programs for children and adolescents.
Her commitment to our fiscal future is evident. She played a key role in cutting the income tax rate for most residents—the first such cut in decades—all while keeping the state under the spending cap and building the largest rainy day fund in our history. Christine also supported paying down over $7.7 billion in long-term debt, resulting in significant tax savings for years to come.
Beyond fiscal responsibility, Sen. Cohen has been a strong advocate for our environment, strengthening oversight of nursing homes, protecting abortion access, and supporting small businesses. From banning harmful poly-fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), often called “forever chemicals,” to investing in public transportation, her dedication to improving the quality of life in Connecticut is unwavering.
Christine Cohen is focused on making our state a better place to live, raise a family, and retire. I’m confident that her leadership will continue to serve us well, and I wholeheartedly support her efforts to keep Connecticut moving forward.
Please join me in supporting Christine Cohen.
