A Tireless Advocate
I'm writing to urge readers to support the reelection of Chris Aniskovich, our State Representative for House District 35, encompassing Clinton, Killingworth, and Westbrook. In his time in the legislature so far, Chris has delivered results for the district and has been a tireless advocate for our community, including personally helping me with a school project.
In my senior year of high school, I was invited to Hartford to observe a day in the life of a legislator with Chris. I saw firsthand the dedication to his constituents by staying in the House chamber for long hours and voting with the interest of the district rather than any party. This sentiment is reflected with his perfect attendance last session and his cross endorsement of the Independent Party for his reelection bid.
Chris has also been a forefront on the biggest issue facing Connecticut at this moment which is our electric bills. Chris has been talking to voters and urging the leadership of both parties to address the issue through a special session of the state legislature. Chris has been a vocal leader on trying to reform the public benefits charge and trying to find reliable energy sources that are cost effective to ease the burden on families who live in the 35th District.
We need leaders like Chris back in the state legislature to provide a balance in Hartford and to address the needs of working people across the district to lower costs. I hope you will join me in voting for Chris on either the Republican or Independent ballot line early or on Tuesday, Nov. 5.
