A Proven Leader

This is my first letter to the Courier, but I feel the need to write in support of the re-election of State Representative Moira Rader so she can continue to represent the best interests of Guilford and Branford as she has done so capably during her tenure in the state legislature.

Rep. Rader has accomplished much in her term, and I’ve been especially impressed with her work for the environment as a member of the legislative Climate Caucus. She has been a leader in establishing environmental safeguards while addressing renewable energy. We need her to continue this critical work to build more sustainable, climate-resilient communities.

She has also tirelessly worked for healthcare that is affordable and accessible, in addition to protecting women’s reproductive health rights. Rep. Rader will continue to work on public health issues, including gun violence, homelessness, and critical mental health care needs.

I strongly support Rep. Rader as a proven leader, especially now when experience and leadership are so necessary. I encourage others to do the same.
