Proud to Support
We are writing to express our strong support for State Representative John-Michael Parker, a dedicated public servant who consistently works across party lines to make meaningful improvements in our community and state.
Rep. Parker currently serves on several key legislative committees, including Environment, Public Health (vice chair), and Government Administration and Elections. He has co-chaired the bipartisan Connecticut Future Caucus and the Arts, Culture, and Tourism Caucus, demonstrating his commitment to creating policies that benefit future generations.
As executive director of Arts For Learning Connecticut, Rep. Parker has expanded access to arts and culture in schools, fostering a rich learning environment for children.
His legislative priorities include children’s mental health, juvenile justice reform, coastal resilience, protecting women’s reproductive rights, and reducing gun violence. He has also secured millions of dollars in state funding for vital projects in our district, including the Madison Emergency Generator and Academy Community Center.
Additionally, Rep. Parker supported a budget that cut over $650 million in taxes, including the creation of a child tax credit and reductions in property taxes for retirees. His work to protect seniors, including limiting nursing home rooms to two patients, is another example of his care for all constituents.
We are proud to support John-Michael Parker and encourage others to do the same.
