An Incredibly Productive Advocate

As a longtime resident of Guilford, I’ve been so grateful to see Senator Christine Cohen in action, not just as a legislator but as an engaged member of our community. Christine is always present, approachable, and truly committed to hearing what we have to say. But she doesn’t just listen—she acts.

For me, one of the most critical reasons to support Christine’s reelection is her unwavering commitment to protecting our fundamental rights and freedoms. In a time when women are dying because they are being denied basic and formerly routine interventions, Christine has stood strongly in defense of women’s access to healthcare, ensuring that Connecticut remains a place where doctors, not politicians, determine patient care. As a woman and a mother of a young woman, I feel safer knowing she’s fighting to protect our rights to make the best decisions for ourselves and our families.

Equally important is her work combating climate change. Christine understands that a healthy environment is not only vital for our future but also a basic right for every generation. From expanding clean energy options to banning toxic chemicals like PFAS and even creating coastal resiliency funding to provide support for future storm surges and rising sea levels, she is looking out for our health and safety today and tomorrow.

Through her work on these issues as well as many others — including economic support for seniors and parents of young children, and all while improving the state budget — Senator Cohen has been an incredibly productive advocate for all of us.

It’s more important than ever to have leaders like Christine Cohen fighting for our rights, freedoms, and well-being. And, especially this year, every vote matters. Vote early at the Town Hall from Monday, Oct. 21, to Sunday, Nov. 3, or on Election Day.
