Proven Himself
As the upcoming election on Tuesday, Nov. 5 approaches, I urge the residents of Madison to support John-Michael Parker for state representative. Parker has proven himself to be a dedicated and effective leader, consistently working to bring valuable resources and meaningful change to our community.
John-Michael Parker has secured millions in state funding for critical local projects, including $500,000 for an emergency generator, $4 million for the Academy Community Center, and $770,000 for Garvan Point. These investments directly benefit our town and improve the quality of life for all residents. His efforts to obtain a $400,000 grant for the Town Campus gym and $50,000 for Madison Cultural Arts showcase his commitment to fostering a vibrant and active community.
Beyond infrastructure, Parker has been a champion for public health and senior citizens. His leadership in expanding retirement savings tax cuts and streamlining access to nursing home information demonstrates his commitment to protecting our seniors. I appreciate, as a psychologist, that John-Michael Parker, as vice chair of the Public Health Committee, authored HB 5291 to combat the opioid crisis and co-sponsored other legislation, making life-saving treatments like naloxone more accessible.
Parker’s ability to work across the aisle and develop bipartisan relationships has been key to his success in passing legislation that directly benefits our town. His leadership, dedication, and track record of results make him the ideal choice to continue representing Madison and Durham at the state level.
This election, let’s vote for a representative who prioritizes our town’s needs. Early voting begins on Monday, Oct. 21, and runs through Sunday, Nov. 3. On Nov. 5, let’s reelect John-Michael Parker and ensure that Madison continues to thrive.
