It’s election season and time to consider our choices. It’s a challenging time for many of us because, quite often, we don’t have the time and/or the interest to really dive into what is being offered by the various candidates. For much of my working life, I felt that way and often followed the campaign slogan, sound bite, or key issue that spoke to me. Today, perhaps to the chagrin of close friends, I have the time to follow stories, check facts, try to truly understand the choices, and, heaven forbid, talk politics.

Having never had the opportunity to spend quality time with a candidate, I recently hosted a small gathering of friends and neighbors to meet the Democratic candidate for state representative, Cinzia Lettieri. It was a lovely evening where we all learned about Cinzia and what is driving her to earn our votes to become our state representative. We learned she is driven to support education and infrastructure initiatives – the two largest budget investments – as well as women’s health. She is extremely bright, very driven to serve our community needs, empathetic to the underserved, and tireless in reaching out and listening to constituents. She is forward-looking, knowledgeable about sources of additional funding, and smart about where investing dollars will generate a return to our community.

I fully endorse Cinzia Lettieri for these reasons, and I ask you to please vote for her.
