I was happy to hear that our state representative, Devin Carney, is seeking another term. Devin has been a skillful and experienced representative in Hartford and has built strong relationships with members on both sides of the aisle. His main focus has always been doing what’s right for his constituents and not party politics.

He serves as the ranking member of the Transportation Bonding Committee and is also on the Transportation Committee and the Finance Committee. He understands the workings of state government and is very effective at communicating back to his constituents on key issues and willingly answers questions.

He wants to ensure that our fiscal guardrails remain strong in order to pay down Connecticut’s long-term debt. This is essential for the future of our state and for future taxpayers like our children and grandchildren. He was the lead voice in getting taxes lowered for more retirees who have pensions and IRAs.

Devin continues to be an active member of our community and volunteers his time with many organizations. He takes a genuine interest in local non-profits and serves on the board of the Katherine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center.

Devin deserves another term as our state representative. His experience, institutional knowledge, and dedication are a definite benefit to all of us. Please join me in voting for him this November.
