Continually Impressed

As a mom of three and longtime resident of North Haven who was “born and raised” here, I have never been this excited about a state senate candidate! If you haven’t heard by now, Brandi Mandato is running for the 34th District, and she is the candidate we have all been waiting for.

Brandi has been working tirelessly throughout her entire career for the policies and platforms that she is advocating for in our district. She knows the deep value of equitable education and believes that North Haven deserves more attention and funding from Hartford. She knows that access to healthcare and mental health services, both as prevention and as intervention, are essential to a thriving community. Her plans include initiatives to expand access to affordable healthcare, lower prescription drug costs, and improve mental health services. As a mom of two, she understands the strains of childcare costs and the limitations it places on working families and beyond.  She is a believer in universal preschool programs that help support families and lower these costs, allowing families to work if they choose.

I am continually impressed with all that Brandi stands for.  She is showing up everyday for our community. She is listening to constituents, prioritizing what they want, and is excited to work for us in Hartford. Brandi is not out for ego. I think sometimes we forget that our elected officials truly work for us, the people! Brandi is the definition of a public servant and wants to use her voice to improve our lives and advocate for our needs. I cannot wait to vote for Brandi in November!
