Thankful

If you've tried to ride Shore Line East (SLE) lately, you know it's not functioning well. Since 2020, service has been reduced by 66%, thanks to the Lamont Administration. This reduction has made it nearly impossible to rely on SLE for transportation.

Fortunately, Guilford has Senator Christine Cohen, who I thank for her relentless advocacy for public transportation. Thanks almost exclusively to her efforts during the past legislative session, $5 million was allocated to add one peak train in each direction. SLE still has a long way to go to return to sustainable service, but I'm thankful we have Senator Christine Cohen advocating for it in Hartford!
