Pleased and Impressed

If you cannot cook for yourself and do not have someone who can provide a meal for you, what are your options? Would you enjoy having a nutritious hot or cold meal delivered to your home? In Guilford, we have access to the Guilford Interfaith Volunteer, who provide Meals on Wheels (MOW).

This unique program is available to all Guilford residents upon request. I enjoyed their meals last fall while recovering from a fracture. I was quite pleased and impressed with the presentation and variety

MOW will provide a daily meal, including weekends and holidays.

Volunteers deliver to your door and provide a chance to chat if you please.

This is a great support for the homebound as well as those recovering from injury, surgery or illness.

Larry Santamaria, with his staff Ian, Gail, and Jennie, works very hard to provide tasty, nutritious meals as well as such personal touches as birthday and holiday treats.

The 70 volunteers served 38,000 meals last year.

They do struggle to maintain quality and availability despite ever-increasing food prices.

Please support them with either a contribution or offer your service. Their number is 203-453-8359.

Be a Guilford resident who allows these meals and comforts to continue to be available. You never know when you may be on the other end of the fork.
