A Success

Guilford Meals on Wheels would like to thank everyone involved with making the 4th annual Disc Golf Tournament a success.  We had a soggy day on May 18; however, this did not deter the players who came out to support the event.  So, thank you to the players for participating.

Thank you to Dunkin Donuts for providing hot coffee and snacks, Pasta Avest & Pizzeria for warm pizza at the end of the event, and Guilford Park and Recreation for providing access to The Rick Maynard Disc Golf course for our tournament.

Thank you to those who supported us with prizes: Foxwoods, Dicks Sporting Goods, Hartford Yard Goats, Pages Hardware, Innova Disc Golf, Ascent Climbing, Flowers on the Green, and Guilford Lakes Golf Course.  Lastly, we would like to thank Jeff Von Flatern, owner of the UPS Store of Guilford and Clinton, for sponsoring this event for the second year in a row.  We could not have had such a successful event to benefit the Meals on Wheels program without so many generous efforts and contributions from the above-mentioned supporters.
