Illuminate Our Flag

The flagpole at Jacob's Beach stands tall and proud, representing the values and unity of our community. However, as the sun sets, its significance fades into darkness. I am writing to address a matter that has been on my mind lately. Every evening, as I watch the sun go down from my window, I can't help but notice that the flag on the flagpole at Jacob's Beach remains in darkness throughout the night.

I believe it is crucial that we illuminate our flag at all times. By keeping it in darkness, we unintentionally diminish its significance. It is imperative that we install a light to illuminate this beacon of patriotism, ensuring that it shines bright day and night. The light will not only enhance the beauty of the flagpole but also serve as a reminder of our shared values, providing comfort and inspiration to all who pass by.

I kindly request that the town consider installing a light on the flagpole at Jacob's Beach. The tiny solar light in place now does not illuminate the flagpole at night. This simple addition would ensure that our flag shines brightly, even during the darkest hours of the night. It would serve as a constant reminder of the strength and pride we have as a town.
