Haifa Jalil is an excellent candidate for the Westbrook Board of Education. She has raised three children in Westbrook, intimately involved in a total of 36 years of education in the Westbrook schools. She started her career teaching in Westbrook, thus seeing the system from that side. She continued her teaching career in New Haven, teaching science and then working as a curriculum supervisor. She did all of the above while completing a Ph.D. in education.
