An Amazing Slate of Candidates
It’s fall, it’s New England, and its election time. Signs are up, candidate forums, fundraisers, and meet and greets are everywhere. And this year, the elections are local.
In Killingworth, that means we know many of our candidates. They are neighbors who stepped up to do the work of town governance, to protect what is good, deal with day-to-day concerns, keep us fiscally sound, and our schools among the best.
To that end, the Killingworth Democrats have brought together an amazing slate of candidates. Many are seeking reelection, some to new positions, some stepping up for the first time. Two present office holders, Michelle Nuhn and Donna Dupuis, are being cross-endorsed. All bring a wealth of varied and strong experience to the table. And every one of them is committed to fact-based problem-solving.
The biographies of all our candidates can be found on our website, www.killingworthdemocrats.org. I think you will find them as impressive as I have. You may also have met them as they knocked on doors, did meet and greet fundraisers, appeared at our local candidate hot spot, Recycle Way, or attended town events.
From Eric Couture, running for first selectman, and Joel D’Angelo, for selectman, across Row A, we have candidates who know our town and the special place it is. By running for office, they are offering their time and experience to keep Killingworth a great place to live and to work with others in a collaborative way to prepare it for its future.
In small towns like ours, through good times and difficult ones, at our best, “we’re all just walking each other home.” Our team knows that.
Local elections are where it all begins. Join me in voting Row A on Tuesday, Nov. 7.
