A Welcome Addition
You might think that a man who has served the students of Clinton as a well-loved teacher for 41 years would want to rest and enjoy his retirement. This is not the case with Alan Samet. He now hopes to continue serving his community and advocating for Clinton students as a member of the Board of Education. Our town could not ask for a better-qualified candidate.
Alan would bring a strong commitment to working with others on the board to reach a common goal. His tenure as a math teacher at Morgan High School and his many years as chairman of the department have given him the financial expertise that would prove beneficial come budget time. His energy, willingness to listen, sense of humor, approachability, and respect for all individuals would be a welcome addition to a hard-working board.
If Alan is willing to give up his time to better the education of our students, take him up on it. Clinton will reap the benefits.
