Would Be Better Served

I submit this letter in support of the candidacy of Democrat Carol Jones for first selectman of Deep River.

I have lived in Deep River for 22 years and 25 years before that in Chester. During those 47 years, I have been involved in many environmental issues.

In the likely future event that the town was to confront issues relating to the environment, sustainable development, land use, climate change, or small-town values, I believe that it would be better served by Democratic principles rather than those of the present-day Republican Party.
