Positioned to Help More Families
Many years ago, Judy Barron and I started the discussion of running for public office and her vision for her role in serving Branford. Judy’s desire to serve her community was evident, but it is her ability to raise the lives of family, friends, and neighbors to a higher standard of safety, health, and joy - that is the difference that Judy makes. That is why people will vote for Judy on Tuesday, Nov. 7, to support her for the Branford Board of Education.
So many times, I play my own version of Six Degrees Of Judy Barron when I am meeting people in Branford. Every time I mention her name, people will tell me how Judy helped them personally or connected with a friend/cousin/co-worker/neighbor with a community project, a volunteer role, a holiday event, a sports activity, or a crisis situation. It is clear that Judy is the person to go to when you need something done.
Judy is the executive director of the Community Dining Room, and she has the pleasure of working alongside an amazing staff and dedicated volunteers who provide the daily hot meal service in person and home delivery, diaper bank, health screenings, assessment and referral for support services, crisis intervention, inclusive community events, fundraising activities, and my favorite - Family Meals on the Green.
Several boards have recruited Judy for her talents, skills, and dedication. She is currently serving with the Women & Family Life Center, School-Based Health Center Advisory, R Kids, Community Health Improvement and Planning (ESHD), Branford Interfaith Housing Coalition, and more.
Judy Barron helped me and my family through one of the most difficult times in our lives. She is positioned to help more families in Branford. Please support Judy for the Branford Board of Education. Vote Row A!
