In the Best Interest of Our Town
I am writing to encourage people to reelect Bob Hartmann to the Guilford Board of Finance in November. Bob is running as a member of the new Independent party in Guilford and is well-deserving of another term.
Over the past four years, Bob was instrumental in refinancing the Town’s bond debt to take advantage of lower interest rates, thereby saving the Town and its taxpayers substantial amounts of money. During the annual budget process, Bob’s experience as a member of the Guilford Facilities Task Force provided him with valuable insight when the Board of Finance reviews the annual capital requests of the Town’s departments and agencies.
Having grown up in Guilford and as the President of the Guilford Keeping Society and a past President of the Guilford Rotary Club, Bob is familiar with our town’s history and how Guilford’s greatest strength has always been its people and their willingness to serve the community. He views public service as a privilege and works collaboratively with his fellow members on the Board of Finance to deliver reasonable budgets that provide Guilford’s citizens with essential services and programs while also being mindful of the current state of the economy and its impact on Guilford’s residents.
Our Town and its citizens have been through unprecedented events since 2019. Having Bob as a member of the Board of Finance helped the Town successfully navigate through difficult times. I have no doubt that Bob’s re-election to the Board of Finance for another term is in the best interest of our Town, and I encourage Guilford’s voters to support him.
