Continue to Assist Westbrook
My name is Tony Cozza, and I am running to retain my seat on the Westbrook Board of Finance. I am asking for your vote this November.
As a member of the Board of Finance, I will continue to strive to keep taxes low while not sacrificing services, make sure our children receive a quality education, maximize the number of grants we receive, and, very importantly, keep our debt under control.
Briefly, my background is I have a bachelor’s degree in engineering and a master’s in business administration. My career was spent in technical, management, and environmental positions having to do with the design, construction, purchasing, and operation of power plant equipment. I have managed multimillion-dollar projects and organizations.
I fell in love with Westbrook when I purchased a home in 1978. My wife, Pat, and I realized our dream when we were able to move here full-time 17 years ago. Although I spent some time volunteering during my working years, I have been able to increase my volunteer activities during retirement. Other than serving on the Board of Finance, I have served on the Retirement Board, Ad Hoc Shellfish Commission, Water Pollution Control Commission, and Ad Hoc Parks and Recreation Commission. I presently serve on the four-town Coastal Resiliency Committee, am vice president of Island View Beach Association, and am an active member of the Westbrook Council of Beaches, serving as chair of its Alleviating Hunger Committee.
I believe, and I hope you agree with me, that my background and experience enable me to continue to assist Westbrook in these trying financial times.
