I will be voting for the Republican slate of Old Saybrook candidates on Nov. 7 because the Republicans have a proven track record and vision for the future that bodes well for our town. It’s Old Saybrook Republicans who have been the ones to deliver common sense ways to do the public’s business, including:

• Town budgets that have been flat, or close to flat, over the last decade, which have resulted in one of the lowest mill rates on the shoreline.

• An increase to our rainy-day fund and well-funded town pension obligations.

• Continued investment and strong support for our wonderful public school system.

• Smart investment in capital projects that matter to the public.

• Unwavering commitment to preserving open space.

• Forward-looking resiliency efforts.

• First-rate police, fire, and emergency teams that are committed to protecting and serving all.
