Although summer does not officially end until Saturday, Sept. 23, we have seen the unofficial end with the passing of Labor Day.

Despite more rain than many of us wanted to see, our Old Saybrook summer was great. It kicked off with a rousing Memorial Day Parade in May; the excitement continued with our first annual Celebrate Street Party in June, concerts on the green, summer movie nights, and the return of our farmers market. Of course, our lovely beaches and coastline take center stage in July and August, and across all of these months, we got to delight in Old Saybrook’s flourishing dining (and ice cream) scene!

Truly, Old Saybrook is a great place to live, work, and play, and for more than 24 years, this lifestyle has been created by Republican stewardship. Our Old Saybrook Republicans are always looking toward the future to better the community while making sure everyone’s voice is heard, and everyone has a seat at the table. Frankly, Old Saybrook Republicans work hard to make sure the town works for everyone.
