Can Enhance the Offerings

My name is Elizabeth Soden, and I am excited to be running for Old Saybrook Parks and Recreation Commission. The Parks and Recreation Department of Old Saybrook offers an extensive array of programs and facilities for residents of all ages, and I would like the opportunity to work with the commission to continue to support and develop these amazing offerings. I have worked at Yale University for 14 years, and I believe my administrative experience would be an asset to this commission.

My husband, Rob Soden, a lifelong Old Saybrook resident, and I chose to make Old Saybrook my home 12 years ago. My family and I participate in many classes and sports offered through Old Saybrook Parks and Recreation and utilize many of our parks and outdoor spaces. Our parks and facilities are such an asset to this community, and their further development, I believe, could continue to enhance our town for all its residents into the future. I grew up attending parks and rec summer camp, and I think Parks and Recreation programs have the potential to offer many enriching opportunities for our local children throughout the year.

Please vote for me, Democratic candidate Elizabeth Soden, for the Old Saybrook Parks and Recreation Commission. I find the department to be an excellent one, and I believe that with careful planning, we can enhance the offerings and facilities for residents of all ages.
