09/13/2023 03:37 PMOn behalf of the officers and members of the Essex Fire Engine Company #1, I would like to thank the community once again for being so generous with your donations to our department. Year after year, you help us purchase things that are outside of our budget but that are vital to keeping our volunteers and the community safe. Also, we have been very lucky to be supported by other funding sources such as the Community Foundation of Middlesex County, Kitchings Family Foundation, Rotary Club of Essex, Essex Community Fund, Essex Foundation, and Essex Savings Bank.
As a thank you to the community, Essex Fire Engine Company #1 is hosting an Emergency Services Open House on Saturday, Sept. 23, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It will be at our Headquarters at 11 Saybrook Road, Essex. We will have representatives from Essex Ambulance, Connecticut State Police with a convincer seatbelt demo, Coast Guard, LifeStar, SkyHealth, and, of course, our own volunteer firefighters and EMTs. We will show fire prevention safety demos, have apparatus to climb in, have gear to try on, and other fun surprises. Tour our Headquarters and see exactly how we have spent your generous donations. There will be free food and water, too.
Please come down and meet your emergency services representatives and enjoy a day of fun. Once again, we want to thank you for all you do for us! If you have any questions, please reach out to me at membership@essexctfd.org.
Regards,
Alison Brinkmann
