Dependable and Open-Minded

Attorney Heidi Avila is currently the North Haven Democratic Party endorsed candidate for Board of Education, a businesswoman, a homeowner, a mother, a daughter, a friend, a neighbor, and my baby sister.

Heidi is courageous and dependable. At one point in Heidi's life, our biological mother became terminally ill with cancer. Her disease's primary course occurred while Heidi was a senior in high school. Heidi cared for her while maintaining good standing with her high school academic obligations and working full-time. During the last days of her mother's life, Heidi never missed a visit to the hospital, where she spent long hours with her mother and always had a loving, emphatic, supportive touch.

Later, as a young woman, my sister was raising her child, working full-time, and enrolled as a full-time undergraduate and then law school student at the University of Connecticut. When she registered at the university, Heidi's baby boy was only two years old.

My sister Heidi has already overcome many life challenges. She believes in people, young people, education, and its value to individual quality and community life. As your representative to the North Haven Board of Education, Heidi will work diligently to look after every child's interest and ensure that tax dollars are appropriately delegated to the child's best interest. Heidi is dependable and open-minded.

Heidi has been a source of inspiration to many people. She is inclusive, caring, and honest. I eagerly support her as our North Haven Board of Education representative. And I invite you to join the North Haven Democratic Party in their support of her.
