A Great Service
It is my great pleasure to write this letter of endorsement for Alan Samet who is running for a Democratic seat on the Board of Education in November. I am a retired teacher from Regional School District 13 and a resident of Clinton for the past 46 years. I have been extremely fortunate to have had Alan as a good friend for over 30 of those years. He taught math at The Morgan School for 41 years and was head of the math department for many of those years, retiring three years ago. Alan is a person of integrity, honesty, and clear vision. He is willing to stand up for his beliefs, but he is also an excellent listener. Alan’s greatest quality, however, and one to which thousands of his former students will attest, is that he cares deeply about the students—not only academically but in all aspects of their lives. You will be doing the town of Clinton and its children a great service to cast your vote for Alan Samet in November.
