Of Real Concern
I realize the added noise and increased air pollution that result from increased commercial jet flights are trivial to those who want cheap, convenient jet air travel. However, it is of real concern to those of us in the take-off and landing flight paths of Tweed New Haven Airport.
Since our elected representatives will not openly oppose the proposed airport expansion unless the majority of their constituents express their outcry, I would like to impose on the goodwill of our neighbors to contact their representatives, asking for more than just an impact study but some real restrictions.
Those that would like to save the sound and its wetlands for future generations will be grateful. Once the area has been exploited, I doubt the genie can be put back in the bottle.
