Served Us All Well
I support State Representative Christine Goupil for re-election in the 35th House District.
As vice-chair of the Planning and Development Committee, Christine has been a champion of regional planning and development activities, the state plan of conservation and development and economic development programs impacting Clinton, Killingworth, and Westbrook.
As a member of the Transportation Committee, Christine has been a strong advocate for upgrading Connecticut’s transportation infrastructure and utilizing innovative and environmentally friendly designs. She has supported the merger of the 9 Town Transit and Middletown Area Transit into one Estuary Transit District that provides expanded bus services for 20 towns, including Clinton, Killingworth, and Westbrook. Her knowledge of the issues was invaluable. With her support, the state has allocated $2.5 million for battery-operated electric buses.
As a resident of Killingworth, I appreciate her active efforts in advocating for a Fair Rent Commission which is now in effect and the Save Deer Lake project which will now be maintained as open space and protected from development.
Christine listens to her constituents, works hard to support our concerns and is respectful and well-respected. She has unparalleled political experience in this job and has served us all well. We need Christine Goupil to continue working for us in the state legislature.
