Luther Burbank, an American botanist, once said, “Flowers always make people feel better, happier, and more helpful; they are sunshine, food, and medicine to the soul.” Some of our Meals on Wheels clients who recently received beautiful flowers compliments of Donna King of Balsam & Berry would echo this sentiment. Donna has been providing Meals on Wheels clients beautiful flowers for the last year and a half. The kind gesture began during COVID as a way to shed some light and happiness during a difficult time and it has continued this summer. The clients are so very appreciative. It truly makes their day and brings smiles to their faces. We thank Donna for sharing her delightful flowers with our Meals on Wheels recipients.
