A Vote for Our Local Communities
Since moving to Westbrook and joining the Westbrook Board of Education (BOE), I have had a chance to really get to know Devin Carney. From my personal experience, I can tell you he is sincere, caring, and works incredibly hard for the people of the 23rd District.
One of his great passions is the educational quality of our public schools. As an alum of Old Saybrook schools, he knows the importance and positive power our local teachers can have on students. Too often, in Hartford, there are forces that seek to weaken them and require taxpayers here to increasingly foot the bill for districts outside of our control. Devin was on the forefront of stopping state-forced regionalization and opposed sending more of our tax dollars to other towns and cities, including those with a history of corruption.
I trust Devin will always look out for the people he represents, especially our local students. His record proves that. Devin is always willing to support and communicate with each BOE within his district to ensure their voices and concerns are heard. This is evident in his work as a member of the Education Committee in the state legislature.
A vote for Devin Carney is a vote for our local communities and a vote for our local schools. Please join me in supporting him in his campaign and in the election on Tuesday, Nov. 8. He has earned it.
