07/06/2022 08:00 AMMy husband, who recently passed away, fell in our hallway in the middle of the night. He screamed my name; I leapt out of bed and found him lying on the hallway floor covered in blood. I immediately called 911. The fire department was there in a matter of moments. The crew quickly and efficiently got him onto a stretcher, applied bandages, and asked where I would like them to bring him. Fearing the need of stitches, I had them rush him to Yale New Haven. They were even kind enough to help me clean up after they had moved him.
My thanks and best wishes to the amazing crew who took care of us. We are indeed fortunate to have such an effective, caring, and thoughtful EMT system in our town.
Thanks to you all for your care and hard work.
