Guilford Interfaith Volunteers (GIV) would like to thank Larry Santamaria for hosting the Carol Marra Volunteer Appreciation event on May 15. Larry happily opened the doors to the VFW and allowed us to honor Carol Marra and all the volunteers who help GIV live up to our motto of “Neighbor Helping Neighbor.”

Simply put, we could not accomplish most of what we do without the help of our volunteers. We would also like to thank the Nemec family for the donation of food for the event; it was delicious and enjoyed by all. Last, we would like to thank First Selectman Matt Hoey, State Senator Christine Cohen (D-12), and The Rev. Dr. Ginger Brasher-Cunningham for attending the event and recognizing our GIV volunteers and expressing gratitude for the positive impact they have on the Guilford community.
